Dr Linda Yeuh is a British journalist, author and academic. She is currently Chief Business Correspondent for BBC News[1], based in Singapore.[2]
Education
[edit]Yueh has a BA from Yale University, a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University, a JD from NYU School of Law and a D.Phil from Oxford University.[3]
Life and career
[edit]She has been economics editor for Bloomberg TV and corporate lawyer resident in New York, Beijing and Hong Kong.[4]
In May 2013 she became the Chief Business Correspondent for BBC World News making her debut on the TV channel on Monday 13 May.[5] Subseqently, her blog debuted on the BBC News Business homepage, one of only three to feature, beneath the blogs of her section chief, Business Editor Robert Peston, and Economics Editor Stephanie Flanders.
Academia
[edit]Unusually for a BBC journalist, Yeuh has substantial links to academia. She is a Adjunct Professor of Economics at London Business School[6], and a Fellow and lecturer in Economics at St Edmund Hall, Oxford University[7] - where she is director of the China Growth Centre (CGC). She is also a Visiting Professor at Peking University and an associate of both the Centre for Economic Performance and IDEAS research centres at the London School of Economics (LSE).[8]
