Didn't get to watch Bunny Girl Senpai yet, as ever since Monogatari (which many people seem to compare Bunny Girl Senpai with) I kind of avoid this "kind" of series, because it just doesn't really appeal to me. But the protagonist for Bunny Girl Senpai seems to be better than Ararararararagi (, who I personally find quite boring and is the reason I don't feel like continueing Monogatari), from what I hear, so that might make me watch it, if he can carry that series together with the other characters.

I dropped Monogatari long back as well. In fact I also hate the slice of life genre so me liking Bunny girl is really something. The banter in the anime is great and yes the protagonist is awesome but the other characters are also pretty good.
I highly recommend you give it a try even if it's not your "kind" of series.

Grey-Zone said:

But frankly the comparison between the two series for "Fall 2018" might not be a good idea, because Bunny Girl Senpai is one-cour and Slime is two-cour and even an adaptation whose first cour ending will be halfway into an ongoing arc, so it will probably lack the "climatic finale" that the one-cour series will have, making it a rather unfair comparison.

I completely agree with this which is why I feel slime will most likely be my favourite in the end. The pacing is a bit slower in slime and I expect the 2nd cour to be even juicier whereas Bunny girl has already had a few arcs done and is faster paced.

With SAO, I was in the same boat as you until recently, as I put it on hold somewhere near the end of the Death Gun/GGO arc and didn't even bother watching the GGO spin-off (and probably never will), but I finished watching SAO II all the way to the end recently (it's quite good actually, as it makes Asuna the protagonist in the last arc and turns Kirito into a supporting cast for some time) and also watched the movie "Ordinal Scale", which is supposedly also neccesary to watch for some things in Alicization to make sense, or so I head. But I have yet to watch even a single episode of Alicisation.

Thanks for the in depth explanation. When I'm in the mood I'll continue and binge the 2nd season. I totally forgot about the movie, I heard it was quite good so I'll definitely watch that as well.

It's best to keep your expectations low for Index, fights are okay.
Goblin Slayer has stayed the same, if you liked it so far it's fine. Just don't expect any change or else you'd be disappointed.
I dropped Tokyo Ghoul during Re because the anime adaptation is terrible and I've read the manga. The first manga of Tokyo Ghoul is amazing (anime butchered it) but sadly the sequel manga is terrible.

well i wouldnt debend on the mal score since if you check the viewers tensei got alot more than other shows but still than jojo 5 is from the reating the best after all right
and sadly it seems karakuri doesnt gets the love it deserves ;/ soo give more shows at try many deserve it but just dont get the chance too be popular

It's not the only factor but one of many. I prefer observing the MSP for currently airing shows. It's a really neat club so check it out if you haven't already.
I haven't watched any of the previous Jojo seasons. Haha this is the first time I'm even hearing about that show so yes I suppose you're right.

I doubt you need jojo 1-4 too understand season 5 of jojo since its a total diffrent setting and cast
+ even soo i wasnt a big jojo fan before but season 5 just kicks ass :)

and soo does golden kamuy and karakuri circus you really should give these 3 a try

Currently Bunny senpai is my favourite but Slime is a really close second and I'm becoming a bigger fan every episode. If it maintains it's quality it'll be my favourite this season for sure.

As for some other shows I've seen, Goblin Slayer is mediocre with some occasional dark moments but it's fun for what it is. Index 3 is a rushed mess that's an insult to the novels.
I plan to watch SOA s3 eventually(still didn't complete 2nd season) and I have no intention of watching the new season of Tokyo Ghoul because I know it'll be trash.

What's the difference? I thought best equals most enjoyment. Or are you guys talking about highest score on MAL when you say best.

MAL ratings are not reliable in any way, there's people like me who score by enjoyment and others who score it from a critical standpoint no bias involved.

Best way to explain i can get at 2a.m is a friend of mine who has an iphone SE and he would rather have it than a Samsung Galaxy S9, just because he likes that older iphone model doesn't mean it's better than the latest Samsung.

Or people who their favourite youtuber is one of the Paul brothers, this one explains itself am i right ? *self hi5*

This is a pretty damn hilarious premise, I don't know what you're on about.

It's just a means to an end. It's ironic, yes, but only to us. I mean the whole world building monster harem is damn cool, I just wish there was more interactions in how and why.
The slime is the only one that knows what he's doing with Veldora, It's annoying knowing all he has to do is show a dominance of power(AS HE DOES ANYWAYS). Why doesn't he come out and admit he ate Veldora? I think everyone would respect him more for it. T.T;

TsukuyomiREKT said:

Ok, but I don't see why any of this is a problem. Every story has a catalyst. Every story starts after one event or a series of events happens. This isn't any different, but for some reason it's a flaw? Wat.

The problem is that the formula has been established as a means to an end without any clear resolution in site. The theme is very shallow so to speak so that I can predict that it won't have any true climax.

Well, unless he actually does what I've been wanting him to do from the beginning... I guess that would kind of make up for a lot, but i seriously doubt that will end up happening. It's unlikely that he'll ever mention Veldora or release him for the rest of the series. I expect the rest of the show to be about the slime showing dominance and naming his subjects.

Even the Demon Lord isekai anime had a climax last season. But this one? I expect not. IDK why this anime is getting so much hype...especially considering the one last season was just as good if not better. Probably something to do with the ecchi(negative points for tastelessness), which is ironic cuz when I heard about slime, I naturally thought it was going to be an ecchi.

Why does it matter if it's "part of the formula" or not? Telling the world he consumed Veldora would probably endanger him. There's the other dragons along with all the summons and demon lords that can still pose a threat to Rimuru.

YOu gave part 5 10/10 but older jojo you gave low score (some of them 1/10). Strange. Why such a big gap in your score ?! I mean you might like part 5 more but why such a big gap in your rating ?! It is not like older jojo is that much different and has same fighting style (stands) since part 3
I feel like you did not even watch any of the older JoJo series (or maybe you watched it without paying attention), you telling me you did not like anything in Stardust Crusaders 2nd Season ?! Dio fight, vanilla fight, D'Arby ?! Those were like best fights I've seen in JoJo

Also, part 5 still have connection to older parts and has character from old part appearing. So, it always better to start from beginning if he want to understand everything.

I think it is really good for the isekai genre especially as of late (in my opinion of course),being pretty much the only isekai i could manage to stick around for, and it is surely up there because as much as there are other good shows this season (like Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai, Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru, and Karakuri Circus among others) I feel this season wasn't filled to the brim with amazing shows.

I really don't get the hype for this show if I'm being perfectly honest. For me Bunny Girl, SSSS Gridman, and Jojo (probably, I'm not caught up on Jojo) are best of the season

It's really hard you know, every one have their own taste after all so calling something the best is really a subjective question.

I agree that slime is the best though on this season.
Bunny girl is decent, gridman is pretty good, jojo is well that fucking op is mind blowing love it, goblin slayer well... yeah I guess, sao is surprisingly good,

Tensei Shitara Slime has easily become the most popular seasonal anime, on KissAnime it's the most viewed anime of the season with a big difference than the rest.

Oh yes, I'm really happy that it gets so much attention even if its "just another isekai".
I started reading the manga a few months before the anime came out (and I only close to the new season heard that it gets an adaptation) and was really happy
